The Kamoro Art catalogue accompanied a major exhibition in the National Museum of Ethnology in Leiden, The Netherlands. It celebrates the long neglected art of the Kamoro, a people living along the south-west coast of Papua. The lay-out for the catalogue was inspired by the tall standing art objects created by the Kamoro woodcarvers. This resulted in two narrow, sometimes freestanding, and easy to read main text columns. We also directed the photography of all the exhibited pieces taken up in the second part of the catalogue. Kamoro Art is a unique book about a culture which is characterised by an almost uninterupted series of feasts and ceremonies.
