Objectspace is a dedicated centre for craft and design in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a lively space for a diverse programme of makers and curators projects', rather than a traditional ‘gallery space’.

Eleven contributors were asked to select an object or a group of objects and write about their choice for the exhibition ‘newspaper’. The contributions mirror the diversity of aotearoa, and range from the anecdotal to the art historical. Objectspace catalogues are always low budget and have a fixed size. With the vast amount of text, we decided to design and produce a newspaper which gave us plenty of pages to fill. The art objects where illustrated for a coherent look, and each contributor got its own pattern. Printed on beautiful newspaper stock with a browny black ink, makes this a newspaper to talk about! This was a project by Inhouse, they own the copyright.
