In the yearly series ‘beautiful Holland’, TNT publishes stamps in which Dutch cities are featured. For both the stamp collectors and your envelope, these stamps are desired objects.

Five cities are featured in the 2010 edition. Haarlem, Middelburg, Arnhem, Maastricht and Leeuwarden. TNT wished for the stamp sheet to be like a puzzle image. The basis of the design was a city plan with a walk along all the important sights. This gave the stamp sheet an extra function. After careful research the cities were photographed and the resulting images carefully edited. The outcome was a beautiful collage, combining form and content in a delicate way. ‘Beautiful Holland’, a feast for the tongue.

Joris Smidt and Sun Jung Hwang collaborated on this project in 2009 while they were in permanent employment at Ontwerpwerk bv, Den Haag.
