The municipality of Leiden is working hard on improving the accessibility of the city. In the coming years, the city will improve walking routes from and to the city centre, improve bus route efficiencies, create faster and smarter routes for automobile traffic and improve the efficiency and safety of bicycle routes. A very ambitious project!
The importance of good communication, involvement of enthusiastic citizens and the urgency of the project were clear indicators that a public campaign was needed.
DoubleMatured won the pitch with their concept of 'Elke Dag Dichterbij' (Closer Every Day). In cooperation with the DoubleMatured network, various communication means were developed, designed and produced. The campaign was officially launched in the city auditorium in Leiden in the presence of 500 entrepreneurs. DoubleMatured developed the concept, the website, the 'bakfiets', Boomerang cards, Abri posters, t-shirts, an animation, the 'babbelbox', the layout of the city newspaper, banners, construction signs in the public spaces, presentation templates, etc. DoubleMatured 'closer every day'.
